Equal rights for all

In rural Uganda, social disadvantages and discrimination starts early. Girls and women rarely get the chance to live up to their potential. That is why Gejja Women Foundation strives towards gender equali-ty.

Women are confronted with discrimination in all straits of life: whether it is in legal, social and economic matters. This translates into staggering statistics, for it means that half the Ugandan popula-tion is left behind. Girls and women are facing seemingly insur-mountable obstacles in terms of educational, health, or economic resources. To overcome these barriers, our local team educates wom-en and men, girls and boys on gender equality. The Gejja Women Foundation highlights this human rights topic and points out that every human being needs to make his or her contribution towards equality in the world.
